16th of March 2008 The auction house Profiles In History are offering two Friday the 13th-related props as part of their Hollywood Auction 31, to be held March 28-29, 2008. These items are offered as authentic movie memorabilia used during the production of their featured films. I personally had the chance to analyze both items in person and came to the following conclusions:
1061 hero metal machete from Freddy vs Jason
This machete was originally auctioned by New Line as part of their official studio auctions back in 2003 to promote the movie in the U.S. It comes with full paperwork (COA) directly from New Line backing up its origins directly to the production. When I had that machete in my hands back in 2006, I noticed that the handle is wrapped with black tape, not as seen on screen with white tape. Also, the one hero machete in my collection has white tape wrapped around. No question this machete offered by Profiles In History was used during production. If it is screen used is another question.
This item starts at $7,500 and the Profiles estimate is $7,500 - $9,500
1062 Jason mask worn by Kane Hodder Jason Goes to Hell
This is a highly questionable item and in my eyes not proven authentic. Compared to the masks prooven to be authentic this mask here differs in: - color: completely different paint and colors. - shape: especially the borders and rear side of the mask vary completely. - condition: this mask does not show any signs of aging. - material: different plastic, different rivets and also the straps are from different leather.
This item starts at $15,000 and the Profiles estimate is $15,000 - $18,000.

Since most of the pieces shown here on this website are in private collections and actually are not for sale I started this little section for pieces we would consider to part with. Please note, all pieces offered here are strictly the actual items used during the production and are not any kind of replicas.
Each item solidly researched for authenticity prior to listing in this for sale section comes with a Certificate of Authenticity supplied by "The Friday the 13th Props Collection" or the responsible dealer.
| | Friday the 13th - Part 3 Jason`s machete, used in the alternate ending when he cuts Chris`s head off. The machete was originally aquired during the "Ellis Props auctions" when they liquidated their inventory.
